Summer Watercolor Sketchbook Challenge Starts Today!

Dear Friend,

Summer has swept in like a warm breeze carrying wildflowers and adventure, and it has been a delightfully busy season around here.

I've been celebrating my daughter's wedding, attending an inspiring art camp in Connecticut (oh, I have so many stories to share with you soon!), and happily splitting my time between Texas and Florida.

I do hope your summer has begun with a bit of sunshine and something lovely to look forward to.

I've been quietly working away on our Summer Sketchbook Challenge, adding little surprises and extra materials that I'll send to you throughout the summer. Think of them as tucked-away treasures—gentle lessons, creative prompts, and bits of encouragement arriving in your inbox like letters from a friend. The Sketchbook Challenge officially starts today but can be started anytime. It’s a compilation of videos and posts to help you fall in love with watercolor.

The Summer Sketchbook Challenge is completely free, wonderfully fun, and a perfect place to begin if you've ever thought, Perhaps I could paint... but I'm not really an artist.

May I let you in on a secret? Watercolor doesn't ask for perfection. It simply invites you to slow down, notice the beauty around you, and play.

Please reach out anytime. I would be positively delighted to hear your thoughts, see your paintings, and learn what you'd love to explore in future courses. This little community is growing one sketchbook page at a time, and your ideas matter to me.

Below you'll find some important links. And if you have a friend who could use a little more creativity, calm, and color in her days, please invite her to join us. Watercolor has been a life-changing gift in my own life, and nothing brings me more joy than sharing it with you.

I'll be popping into your inbox weekly to share more information and challenges. Now, sharpen a pencil, pour a cup of something lovely, and let's make this a summer filled with paint-stained fingers and happy little pages.

With paintbrushes and warm wishes,

Sherri
