’m so glad you found your way here.

My name is Sherri, and this little corner of the world—Vine and Branch Art—is where many of the things I love gather together under one roof.

I’m a writer, a watercolor painter, and a lifelong creator of things. Ideas, paintings, businesses, stories… they all seem to wander through my mind like old friends who never bother to knock before coming in. I’ve learned to simply set the kettle on and welcome them.

I’m a Southern girl at heart, which means I believe in long conversations, generous hugs, iced tea, and food made from scratch whenever possible. I love people. I love laughter around a table. I love the quiet beauty of nature.

And I love the ocean most of all.

Well… perhaps not most of all. My husband and children would surely raise their eyebrows at that claim, and rightly so. But the ocean and I are very old friends. It has a way of reminding me to breathe deeply, to notice beauty, and to slow down long enough to paint what I see.

If you wander over to the blog, you’ll find much of my art and writing waiting there. It’s a bit like opening the door to my creative studio—watercolor sketches, reflections on life, and the occasional story that insists on being written down.

From time to time, I also host workshops and retreats, which are some of my favorite things to do. I try to choose beautiful places—coastal towns, charming studios, quiet corners where creativity can stretch its legs a little. We paint, we talk, we laugh, and by the end we’re usually leaving with new paintings and new friendships and having cultivated creativity we didn’t know we had.
