On Top of Spaghetti, All Covered with Cheese
On Top Of Spaghetti, All Covered With Cheese, I lost my poor meatball, when somebody sneezed.
When I was a kid, I sang this song, at least a thousand times. My poor mother must have hated every second, but I thought it was a crowd favorite.
We are traveling for the next few weeks. I love traveling. I gather up all of the new people, places and experiences in my bucket like I’m out picking strawberries. This trip is especially fun. My daughter is getting married in two days. She’s a nature girl. I always thought she’d get married under the Redwood Trees or on a beach. I just knew nature would be involved. She has chosen not only nature but also animals to surround her special day. She is getting married at an Equestrian Farm. It is stunning. I’m so excited for every moment of her perfect day with her perfect groom. I adore him and I love them together.
On our way to their destination state, we stopped at a gorgeous old mansion to spend the night. It was lovely. I’ll include photos so you can have a peek at this stunning place. The night we were there, we went down the street to a lovely Italian restaurant. That’s when this painting was born. I saw it. Something clicked. It was someone across the restaurant with spaghetti and meatballs. And Viola’, just like that, I knew I had to paint it. It’s not perfect but it’s fun.
We are starting our sketchbook summer challenge soon and this is the kind of thing I encourage others to paint. Paint what you see. Paint what strikes a chord with you, paint what has meaning to you.
You’ll notice in my painting, there are no meatballs - that’s because, I saw him sneeze. I lost my poor meatballs when somebody sneezed. :)
Hope you have a fabulous week.
